COVID-19 Links & Info
We have prepared some information for your reference on how we will remain open to provide medical care and basic necessities to your pets, and to communicate the steps we are taking to continue to provide you and our team with a safe environment. We will also provide some resources for FAQ about pets and the current pandemic towards the end.
As part of our regular protocol we adhere to stringent infection prevention, control and team hygiene best practices within our clinic and have increased both the frequency and scope of our cleaning and disinfecting with special focus on our reception and retail areas.
We have reviewed the Government of Canada’s Public Health Measures (PHM) with our entire team to help reduce and delay the transmission of COVID-19 within our practice. Our entire team is following the recommended individual public health measures and will be required to adhere to such guidelines as indicated at the link below.

If any of the following applies please call the clinic for updated policies
- If you have flu-like or respiratory symptoms (fever, coughing, or shortness of breath), we recommend calling your medical provider first for advice, then calling our clinic to discuss rescheduling your pet’s non-emergency appointments. If our veterinarian deems your pet’s appointment cannot be rescheduled for medical reasons, we will determine the best way to proceed to ensure that your pet can receive the care they need while minimizing the risk to our team and other clients. Otherwise, our hospitals are fully operational, and our teams are here to offer our usual services.
- Clients who have recently traveled outside of Canada, had any exposure to symptomatic or confirmed positive cases, or confirmed positive themselves are not to bring their pets into our clinic.
- If you have been exposed and your pet is having a medical emergency or requires urgent care, please call ahead and inform our staff that you are at-risk or positive for COVID-19. We will determine the best method to ensure that your pet can receive the care they need while minimizing the risk to our team and other clients. We will ask that a family member or friend who has not been exposed to you bring your pet for its appointment. Where this is not possible we may choose to accept your pet directly from a vehicle, but this decision will be on a case by case basis and at the discretion of our practice owner and head veterinarian.
